Terri Knoll Johnson Memorial Award


The Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity is seeking applications for the Terri Knoll Johnson Award. This award is designated to support current full time KU students who are women (cis or trans) and parents/guardians to a minor child.

Benefactor

This award was established by Dr. Kelly Johnson, Lecturer in the Biology Department, to honor his wife Terri, who died of breast cancer in 2005.  Terri was Development Director for KU Endowment and proud mother of a daughter and two sons. Following her diagnosis, she became a tireless advocate, speaker, and educator, raising awareness about breast cancer.  

Application Process

  • Complete online application form.
  • Attach a Letter of Interest in a Word document or PDF with the required information outlined in the application form.
  • Submit application form with attached Letter of Interest by the provided due date.

Amount

Up to $500 per annual award cycle
