Into Autumn's Arms

This seasonal collaborative Femme Frequencies mixtape is inspired by the phrase "into autumn's arms," a quote from Black lesbian feminist warrior poet Audre Lorde's "Second Spring.”

Tiny Bench Concert Series

On September 16, 2024, the KU Student Engagement Center kicked off our series of Femme Frequencies Tiny Bench Concerts with our first featured artist — prairie princess freak folk singer-songwriter June Henry.

Inspired by NPR's popular Tiny Desk Concerts, our intimate concerts are recorded live in front of our signature Van Go JAMS! bench, designed and painted by Hasiya Asuku for the former KU Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity the in 2016.

Amplify Lawrence

In 2024, Amplify Lawrence campers participated in a Femme Frequencies zine making workshop led by the Emily Taylor Center. Participants were invited to create pages exploring the ways that music builds relationships and creates community for inclusion in this collaborative zine honoring 10 years of Amplify / Girls Rock Lawrence.
