Biography

Diana is a Leadership in Diversity and Inclusion graduate student at the University of Kansas as well as working as a graduate research assistant at the KU Emily Taylor Center for Women and Gender Equity (ETCWGE). She has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Kabul Education University (KEU), and a second bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration (Minor in Gender Studies) from the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF). She also worked at the UN/WFP (United Nation World Food Program- Gender Unit) and the IDLG (Independent Directorate of Local Governance- Policy Unit). Diana has years of experience in implementing women's empowerment projects. She worked as a senior program officer at Voice of Women Organization (VWO), providing social and legal protection for women at risk or victims of gender-based violence in Afghanistan.
