  • Co-founder of the Seattle chapter of the “I Have a Dream Foundation,” sponsoring at-risk students seeking post-secondary education by adopting a 6th grade class and providing scholarship support as those students enrolled in college
  • Co-founder of “The Tudor Foundation,” which provides funding in support of programs that assist “at-risk” children in the Seattle Public schools
  • 2004: Spirit Award from the National Urban League for her support of low-income, African American students and their educational opportunities
